Many of you might not have known, we own a clothing brand! 🙂

What’s different about us?

It’s not your regular cotton. When we started sourcing the fabric we didn’t want to go the usual cotton/poly blend route. We wanted the material that lasts to pass to next generations! That’s is the difference of 400 GSM long stabile Turkish cotton. Kier treated and Enzyme Dyed, French Terry lined.

Sustainability

It’s important for us to do our part. Our thick cotton is structured and sturdy. Stands up to washing and the playground fun. (Tested by my own little bandits!) This way our pieces get passed down to the next generations instead of ending in a landfill.

Behind the name!

The whole collection is inspired by our toddlers, they are cheeky, sunny and always want more! The brand name came from our firstborn and his love for Strawberry smoothies when he was tiny. One day I made him one and he was so excited he snatched it from my hands and I said: You’re little cheeky Bandit… Strawberry Bandit! 🙂 So when we were brainstorming the name for the brand this came up immediately!

Why is higher GSM better?

GSM stands for grams per square meter, (g/m2) and is a unit used to measure the weight of fabric. It is the weight of the fabric if you take a sheet of material which is one meter by one meter square and weigh it in grams. A higher GSM means the fabric is heavier and denser and warmer.

High GSM:

Feels thick, sturdy, and warm.
Heavier structured feel.
More resistance to wear and tear.
Higher GSM fabrics often feel softer and more luxurious.

Typical GSM ranges for different clothing items:

Lightweight T-shirt: 120-160 GSM
Regular T-shirt: 160-190 GSM
Heavyweight T-shirt: 200+ GSM
Casual Sweatshirt: 280-350 GSM
Heavyweight Sweatshirt: 350-450 GSM

Why did we choose Puff Print and why it is Important?

Puff print, a cool, eye-catching textile decoration technique can also indirectly contribute to calming jittery minds through it tactile and sensory qualities.
