Awake Glow Pill Super Serum Review: A Magic Pill

Niacinamide is a heavy hitter these days. No wonder many brands use it as a man ingredient – it is very potent. Let’s explore how this cute pill serum hold up to the test!

The texture is light weight gel, not too thick but also not too watery. Its goal – brightening. I got it as a part of my Glam Bag Plus on Ipsy in July.

Claims from the brand

  • Like a multivitamin for your skin, this nutrient-rich serum is pretty much our new favorite supplement.
  • Want instant results? This lightweight, gel-based serum makes skin softer and more hydrated as soon as you slather it on.
  • Dealing with dark spots, fine lines, or large pores? Vitamin B3 (you may know it as niacinamide) can help. The multitasker helps to fade discoloration and improve skin texture for a youthful glow.
  • Get hydrated with vitamin B5. The skin-softening ingredient is the secret sauce for a plump, dewy complexion.

My skin type and concerns

My skin is combination, more oily in summer. My biggest concerns are congested, enlarged pores and uneven skin tone.

So what’s the deal with Niacinamide?

It’s everywhere right! And it’s because it’s so effective! So what is Niacinamide?

Also known as a Nicotinamide (Even though the names are similar it’s NOT related to Nicotine) is a form of Vitamin B3 or Niacin. Niacin is actually converted to Nicotinamide and then it eventually forms a compound in the body called Nicotinamide Adenine Dinucleotide (NAD) and Nicotinamide Adenine Dinucleotide Phosphate (NADP), which are both vital in life and cell metabolism. It is used to treat and prevent Vitamin B3 deficiency.

It offers many benefits for aging skin since it is also a skin-restoring ingredient. It has the ability to enhance the appearance of fine lines, uneven skin tone, enlarged pores, weakened skin surface, and dullness, among others. It plays a vital role in nutrient synthesis and production. Your body can acquire Nicotinamide by eating foods rich in Vitamin B3 such as fortified cereal, fish, beef, and poultry, among others. Aside from eating niacin-rich foods, you can also take Nicotinamide supplement or Niacin.

My thoughts

I don’t write reviews often… Don’t get me wrong, I do like a lot of skincare items yet I only ‘put the pen to paper’ when something really works for me! And I’m not going lie -first time!!! First time I applied it I saw results! My skin was instantly brighter and rested looking. Now I’ve been using it for about a month and my pores look clearer and smaller as well! What more can I ask for! It’s also moisturizing enough, I just use a gel primer over it and I’m ready for make-up.

I’m super excited to find something that works! It’s that magic Niacinamide! A form of vitamin B3 and all it’s magical properties. The serum also has Hyaluronic acid and I know you’ve heard of all good things it does as well.

And the packaging is so cute like a chubby little pill! 💊☺️

So here it is – a super quick review and one of the most potent nutrients in action- it does really work topically! I’ll continue using it for sure!

Oh and here is another product with Niacinamide I really like!

Where to buy
